Plans, generations and billing, answered.
How much does Yume Comic cost?+
Pro Weekly costs $4.99 a week. Pro Yearly costs $29.99 a year, which works out to about $0.58 a week. All prices are in US dollars.
Can I start for free?+
Yes. Sign up and start creating for free. To keep making comics, choose Pro Weekly or Pro Yearly, and cancel anytime.
What counts as a generation?+
Each comic page you make is 1 generation, so a 4-page comic uses 4 generations. Comic videos use more: 15 generations a page, plus 1 a page for narration and 2 for music. A 6-page video with narration and music uses 98 generations.
How many comics can I make?+
Pro Weekly gives you 500 generations every week, enough for 500 comic pages. Pro Yearly gives you 2,000 generations every month, enough for 2,000 comic pages a month.
Do unused generations roll over?+
No. Unused generations don't carry over. On Pro Weekly, you get a fresh 500 every week. On Pro Yearly, you get a fresh 2,000 every month.
What is the difference between Pro Weekly and Pro Yearly?+
Both have the same features. Pro Weekly bills every week and gives you 500 generations each week. Pro Yearly bills once a year, costs much less, and gives you 2,000 generations each month.
Should I pay weekly or yearly?+
Yearly costs much less: $29.99 for a full year, about 88% less per week than weekly. Weekly gives you a few more generations over a year (26,000 instead of 24,000), so it can suit a short, busy project.
Can I turn my comic into a video?+
Yes. On Pro, you can turn a finished comic into a video with narration and music. One video can use up to 6 pages of your comic.
What happens if a comic fails?+
If a comic or video fails to generate, it doesn't count. The generations it used go back to you automatically.
Can I cancel anytime?+
Yes. Cancel from your profile whenever you like. You keep Pro and your generations until the end of the period you already paid for.
Can I switch between weekly and yearly?+
Yes. Cancel your current plan from your profile. When the period you paid for ends, pick the other option.
Who owns the comics I make?+
You own the story text and photos you add. For the comic pages you make, you get a worldwide license to use, share and publish them for personal and commercial purposes, as set out in our Terms of Service.
Do comics have a watermark?+
No. The pages you make download without a Yume Comic watermark.
How do I pay?+
Checkout is handled securely by Stripe, and you can pay by card. Prices are in US dollars, so your bank may convert the amount to your local currency.
